AgDiscovery Program @ Virginia State University

The Virginia State University AgDiscovery program provides an immersive, hands-on experience for students aged 14 to 16, introducing them to exciting careers in agriculture, food science, and natural resources. VSU AgDiscovery focuses on exposing participants to the innovative fields of urban forestry, controlled environment agriculture, aquaculture, and food science while fostering leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Through field trips, laboratory experiments, and interactive workshops, students learn directly from experienced faculty, researchers, and industry professionals. Participants also engage with Cooperative Extension and explore how research and education benefit communities.
